Inducements

Inducements are fees, commissions or non-monetary benefits that an investment firm pays to or receives from a third party in connection with a service to a client. MiFID II allows them only if they enhance service quality and do not impair the duty to act in the client's best interest, and bans them for independent advice and portfolio management.
