Export credit agency (ECA)

An export credit agency (ECA) is a public or state-mandated body that supports national exporters with insurance, guarantees or loans covering the commercial and political risk of foreign buyers, often for capital goods and projects. Officially supported export credits of OECD members, including the EU, follow the OECD Arrangement, which sets minimum premiums and terms.
