Cash forecasting

Cash forecasting is the estimate of future cash inflows and outflows of a company or bank, by currency and entity, over horizons from the same day to a year or more. It drives funding, investment and hedging decisions and the size of liquidity buffers. Short-term forecasts use bank statements and payables; longer ones build on budgets.
